James Langton CPP, Director, ECS Solutions Ltd. James has over 37 years of experience at senior levels in the areas of law-enforcement, security and emergency management working in Asia, Africa and Australia. He has an extensive background in operations, major event planning, logistics, investigation, training and corporate level security planning.

He has planned and produced a number of large-scale simulation exercises, has an MSc in risk crisis and disaster management, an LLB, a PGCert in security and has lectured at international, national and local level on a number of topics in the emergency management and security fields.

Merrick Chatfield, Director, ECS Solutions Ltd. Throughout his 40 year career Merrick has worked on an extensive variety of emergency, disaster and risk management projects in a broad range of government, non-government and private organizations in over 41 countries in America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australasia.

He has held senior Emergency/Disaster Management positions in Australia, Thailand, Solomon Islands and East Timor and has worked extensively with the UN and other international and regional NGOs. His extensive experience in education, training, exercising and planning makes him an ideal resource person for disaster-management linked training and capacity building.
